Busy? Lazy? A lot of both!

I enjoy keeping up with this, but what the heck happened to the time? Work picked up, the teen "angst-o-meter" shot up, and it's just one thing after another.
We're thrilled to FINALLY have someone come to paint our master bedroom in a few days. I CAN'T WAIT. We would have done it ourselves..... in a few years, maybe! I hope I picked a good color. It's suppose to be a medium sage color - not too drab or dark. But the spot on the can lid looks too minty - like the kitchen! argh! Up until a few days ago, I was going to go with a deep tan/gold color. But we have the furniture all picked out from IKEA (we get to create our own wardrobe - woo hoo!) and it's a dark black-brown. I can't wait to get that either. I've been saving up for that for over 6 months. ALL of my judging money has gone toward our furniture.
We did get a few new windows and a new patio door in the kitchen. Once we finish paying for that in a few months, we hope to order some more and also upgrade our window treatments. Lace and plastic mini-blinds are OUT!
The boys are just getting into spring soccer. Turns out that the cleats we spent HOURS shopping for in August no longer fit. ::::sigh::::: That's another $120+ I wasn't counting on. But their league has a great deal when you buy Giant gift cards... they give you $4 for every hundred to cover registration, coaches' costs, and uniforms. THEN if you have these "Panther Bucks" left over, you can use them toward soccer gear -- even retroactively. Awesome!
Must get to bed. The next few nights will be late ones. Tomorrow we'll be cleaning out our bedroom for the painter, plus I plan to start playing with the bell choir at church. Friday night is GLOBETROTTER NIGHT! It's expensive, but we budget all year for it and it's become a tradition. We go with a friend I used to work with, and her son likes to hang out with V and S. We have a good time. The show is supposed to be new this year. We'll see!
See you all around.... hopefully I'll post some holiday (and other) pictures soon.
Hugs.... Karen
