Can you smell the autumn leaves?

Boy, it sure feels like fall already. It's hot, but the nights are cool.
After church today, I took the boys for soccer cleats. We had about a dozen pairs in this house already but none of them fit. So off we went...
S. got the second pair he tried on. On the other hand, Mr. Picky must have tried on probably a dozen pairs, and finally found a pair that felt really good. But, alas... although they were clearly labeled "Men's", the design was too "girly". So we tried one more pair of that same brand and hit the mother lode. We must have been there two hours!
V. starts school soccer tomorrow. His friend's dad is the new coach, so that should be great.
S.'s piano teacher cut way back on her schedule and will not be teaching him this year, so we have to find another, much to his dismay... Such is the life of the "meanest parents ever".
I am taking the boys to the beach on Friday for a long weekend. We'll get back Monday, the day before school starts! Yippeeeeeee!
This picture is at Hershey park with Vlad's friend (and my "third favorite son"). Aren't they silly??
