School's in! Soccer, too.

This is a quick post (I think).

All the boys are back in school and well into soccer. S. and V. are on the rec teams and V. is playing school soccer as well. He played 4 games last week and had a total of 7 goals, 3 of which were headers. Cool!
It's S.'s first year in middle school and he is still getting acclimated, of course. He is still banging out some great piano, although we must find him a new teacher, since his previous one has cut way back on her schedule.

Some adoptive parent friends are leaving soon to do missionary work in the Ukraine. I am finally at a point in my life where my first instinct is not to be jealous; rather, I am so pleased and blessed to know this family. Deanna keeps up with her blog a lot and often writes intriguing thoughts to consider. Here's one I stole from her blog:

"... A cup brimful of sweet water cannot spill even one drop of bitter water, however suddenly jolted."

For a long time, I have been working personally on not jumping to conclusions and not saying the first thing that pops into my head, especially if it is an unpleasant reaction to something that suddenly was said or done. When I saw this, it resounded with me. Does it resound with you?

"... Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness that God requires." (James 1:19-20)
